Bank Robbery Suspect Sought in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – The Sacra-mento Violent Crimes Task Force (SVCTF) is seeking help from the public to identify a man suspected of robbing Wells Fargo Bank at 2598 Fair Oaks Boulevard – near the intersection of Fair Oaks and Monroe–yesterday, January 26, 2012.
The suspected robber is black male believed to be in his early 30’s who weighs approximately 180 pounds, stands approximately six feet tall and fled on foot while wearing a red San Francisco Giants cap with “San Francisco” embroidered on the brim, glasses and a grey hooded zip-up sweatshirt over an untucked black and white plaid shirt. He also carried a black backpack.
At approximately 10:45 a.m., the man entered the bank and presented the teller with a note demanding cash. While no weapon was seen, the suspect indicated that he was armed.
This case is being investigated by the SVCTF, comprised of FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department detectives.
