God Honors Faith
By Marlys Norris, Christian Author
According to Webster — FAITH: A belief in a value, truth, or trustworthiness of someone or something; belief and trust in God, the Scriptures, or other religious writings; a system of religious beliefs. SCRIPTURE: “Prove by the way you live that you have really turned from your sins and turned to God. (Matthew 3:8)
One’s trust in God our Heavenly Father and His beloved Son Jesus Christ represents everything one needs in this life. One is to listen and follow every instruction recorded in the Holy Bible, as evidence of our trusting faith. It is then one truly does enjoy a blessed life, Plus the blessing gift of eternal life. Trust and faith (belief) is a process and uniquely designed for each individual life, planned by the Lord, long before we were born. Everyone is “chosen” to become God’s adopted child gaining all rights of a legitimate heir of His eternal riches.. “God’s unchanging plan has always been (before the foundation of our world) to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure.” (vs. 5 see Ephesians 1: 1-10) Adoption indicates how strong and intimate our relationship to God is. See also Galatians 4:1-7.
Yet, many refuse and reject the historical prophecies proving His deity. The enemy of their soul has deceived them into making their own man made god out of their own fleshly ideas and desires, unwilling to be accountable to God Almighty. Yet, God is patient and forgiving waiting and allowing their choices to bring about the end results drawing them to Himself. At just the right time everyone who does believe will be touched by the merciful hand of God.
Historically many were healed by the hands of Jesus, as God honored their faith. God is the same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and through the ages He has continued to do great and mighty things in people’s lives. Unfortunately there are always some who come and doubt. A “spirit of unbelief” always closes the door to God’s intervention and wonderful miracles. Jesus said serious words to those who refuse to believe “Go your way and as you have believed–so let it be done for you.” (Matthew 8:13) Sadly, they will reap what they sow in life. Change your mind my friend, He loves you very much.
