To Staff and the Twin Rivers School Community,

Our much anticipated Spring Break is finally here (March 29 – April 5). I hope everyone uses the week to unplug. Get off your devices. Set the computers, phones and other electronics aside, and get outdoors! The weather is great, and spring is all around us. Enjoy your down time before we return to campuses for in-person teaching and learning on Tuesday, April 6.

Over the break, please be aware that we must continue to do our part to help protect our health and the health of others. Mask up. Maintain distancing. Keep the groups small. As we have learned since last March, this public health crisis is constantly changing. All of us want a safe reopening for our students, staff and community.

Students and families, please take a moment to review the procedures for returning to school before April 6. Your principals are sending important information regarding masking, signage that indicates proper physical distancing and traffic patterns on your campus. Please review the information, and please do your part to follow the guidance.

While our Road to Reopening has been a long journey, it’s far from over. We want our hybrid model return to be the first in a series of steps that will bring us back to full-time, in-person instruction for all students. To this point, our District administrative team is studying the new guidelines for physical distancing, which shifted from a recommendation of 6 feet to 3 feet. This change in guidance provides options that must be explored. Returning to hybrid instruction, with some on campus and some online, is our new starting point after the break, but we will continue to amend our plans as the guidance changes. I thank you in advance for being flexible and patient.

As you unplug, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, please stay healthy and safe. Your TR family is very much looking forward to seeing all of you after the break.

All the best,

Steve Martinez, Ed.D.
