Get Ready for Some Afterburnin’

MATHER, CA (MPG) – This year’s California Capital Airshow is presenting, in conjunction with Sacramento County and the City of Rancho Cordova, a “reimagined” show at Mather Airport with awesome aircraft performances and displays for an exciting weekend of aviation entertainment.

The September 24-26, 2021 event will be featuring the world-famous United States Air Force F-16 Thunderbirds, the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and the latest generation of fighter"' the F-35 Lightning! These state-of-the-art aeronautical marvels are not only geared towards entertainment but are meant to inform and help orient young people into science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields during their educational years.

The California Capital Airshow will this year incorporate into the spectacle the new “Afterburnin’ Drive-In Airshow” for those who are concerned about large gatherings and intend to limit their possible COVID exposure. The drive-in performance will kick off the weekend on Friday, September 24, from 3:30 to 7:00 pm.
