Synagogue Hate Crime Related Vandalism & Intimidation Investigation

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - At approximately 5:50 p.m. on October 20, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from a member of a synagogue in Carmichael adjacent to the Colony Neighborhood.  The caller stated that someone had taped anti-Semitic leaflets to the menorah in front of the building.

Deputies responded to the location and conducted a neighborhood canvas for potential witnesses and video footage.  CSI collected and processed evidence.  Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Homeland Security and Hate Crime Detectives are investigating and following up on leads.  No suspect or further information is available at this time.
