CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The Citrus Heights community continues to give generously during this season.

Toys for the Troops Kids, Inc is a nonprofit organization in its 19th year of operation having delivered more than 150,000 toys to military bases throughout the Western United States and Hawaii.

This year’s toy drive will be running from December 4 through December 19.

If you wish to participate, drop off new, unwrapped toys for girls and boys ages up to 18 years of age at the collection stand in front of Panera Bread, 7901 Greenback Lane in the Citrus Town Center from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. Please consider donating a gift for an older boy or girl as they receive fewer donations than the younger children.

Collected toys will be delivered this year to Beal and Travis Air Force Base before going to families living at military bases in the Western United States and Hawaii.

Toys for the Troops Kids was founded by the California Republican Veterans Association.

Additional toy drop-off sites are at Keller Williams Capital Valley, 5750 Sunrise Blvd., Suite 200, and the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, located at 7625 Sunrise Blvd.
