RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Total Education Solutions (TES) held a ribbon cutting for their new location in Rancho Cordova on March 15.  A festive occasion, it included a tour of the large facility for those attending, and the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band provided music.  Traci Bean, co-owner and director, presided at this event.

The clinic’s former location on Howe Avenue has now been moved to 3320 Data Dr., Suite 400, in Rancho Cordova.  The phone number is (916) 564-5010. Bean is more than pleased with the transition to this more than 7,000-sq-ft facility, twice as much space as previously.  “This is a beautiful building,” Bean said.  “We have been very happy with our arrival into Rancho Cordova, it’s been very welcoming here.” Anywhere from 80 to 100 employees provide varied services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral supportive services, and educational services like tutoring or special education teachers. “We see [clients] in the home, we see them in their schools, we actually work with some adult care facilities,” Bean said. TES gets referrals from regional centers, school districts, from insurances like Kaiser, Blue Cross, and Anthem.  Sometimes parents self-refer for their children.  The work may be done in the facility or out in the various locations.

Corinne Posey is a career agent for TES and has been with them for 15 years. One of the good things about TES, Posey said, is that when children have a disability, or are on the spectrum with autism, sometimes they need multiple services and have often had to go to a different provider for each service.  “If someone comes in to us and have been assessed and need those services, sometimes we’re able to provide all of those services,” Posey said.  “They don’t have to go to multiple locations in order to get the services they need for their child.”

As far as the facility, Posey said, “it’s definitely a step up, in regard to the amenities around us, the business complex itself, and the population.  I’m impressed by their Chamber, and the community so far.”

Business support manager Catherine Anderson started out tutoring for the company in Bakersfield, and when her husband’s job moved them to Sacramento, she was sad to leave TES.  The company, though, was able to transfer her to the Sacramento location.  She has been with the company for 12 years now and has moved through administrative work and different office roles to manager.  “I feel like I’m really being helpful to the people who are helping the kids,” Anderson said.  She also is happy with the move to the new facility in Rancho Cordova.  “We’d been in the last building for quite a while, so [we’re glad] to have something that’s bright and big and airy, and just (has) room for everyone to move around,” she said.

Three years ago, Traci Bean and four other senior leaders bought Total Education Solutions from previous owner Nancy Lavelle and the five are now co-owners with seven clinics, one each in Michigan, Ohio, and San Diego, three in Los Angeles and the one in Rancho Cordova.  Bean is responsible for Northern California as well as the online business for the whole country.
