CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - More than 400 foodies last week crammed La Sierra Community Center for the Taste of Carmichael festival.

In its 19th year, the mammoth event broke fundraising records that boosted the Carmichael Kiwanis Club’s benevolence to many causes. Raffles and silent auctions further enabled aid for programs benefiting children, families and culture.

More than 40 restaurants, markets and merchants enriched the culinary experience. Vintners and breweries libated and guests danced off calories in the center’s courtyard.

Sponsors included Raleys, Sacramento County Supervisor Rich Desmond, Homes by Towne, Carmichael Improvement District, SMUD, Maita Subaru and Almond Orchard Dental.
