CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - A grand reopening at the Sunset No-Al Club, located at 5809 Gibbons Drive in Carmichael, will be from 5 p.m. to midnight Sept. 7.  There will be food, non-alcoholic beverages, dance music and silent auctions.

Since an arsonist set fire and nearly destroyed the clubhouse on Nov. 7, 2022, the Sunset No-Al Club has rebuilt and restored the building and is ready to begin serving the recovery community again.

The Sunset No-Al Club, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designed to educate the recovering alcoholic and drug addicted population, including adults, youth and their family members. The building, established as the Sunset No-Al Club in 1970, set out to provide space to educate and provide social and physical activities for all interested.

With the help of many generous community members, businesses, contractors, sub-contractors, dedicated board members and Sacramento County Supervisor Rich Desmond and his staff, the clubhouse is ready to reopen. The Board of Directors thanks all who have donated time, money and materials.

The nonprofit organization is still in need of monetary donations, due to construction loans over and above the insurance payout.
