CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Two park districts serving Carmichael have frolics planned for Easter Saturday, April 19.

The Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District invites families to buddy-up with a bunny and a magician during the Swanston Center’s free “Easter Blast” event. Activities begin at 11 a.m. April 19 when conjuror Dale Lorzo promises to produce at least one rabbit from his shiny top hat.

Children’s programs will continue until 1 p.m. Age-separated egg hunts begin at 11:40 a.m. All activities are free.

Sponsors include the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, Sierra Oaks Dental and House Real Estate.

Carmichael Recreation and Park District’s annual “Breakfast with the Bunny” festival is offered at Carmichael Park Clubhouse from 8 a.m. on April 19.

The pancake meal is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, whose members man the griddle. Fundraising supports the club’s community benevolence. 

Seatings begin at 8, 9 and 10 a.m.; Peter Cottontail will arrive for photographs during each time slot. Easter attire is encouraged. Admission is $5 per person.

Sponsors include Buck Family Automotive, Carmichael Parks Foundation, Supervisor Rich Desmond and the Carmichael Kiwanis Club.
